Ambreen is on a mission to help the families of our soldiers killed in action and those who have been disabled while serving the nation, by holding their hearts and hands and helping them lead a life of utmost dignity & respect.
Rehabilitation of war widows, “Veer Naris” as we call them, has been her foremost concern since day one, to help them lead a life of dignity and respect. She has been associated with war widows of 1962- 1965-1971-Kargil wars and helps them in their areas of concern. From Ayodhya to, Srinagar, to Ranchi, to Satara in Maharashtra, to Cochin, to Borduria village in Arunachal Pradesh, to Chhatra in Jharkhand Ambreen is personally associated with widows of our soldiers there and helps them rebuild their lives.
Recently, Ambreen has won two decades long battle against govt apathy, for a long pending demand of people of Village Dhanuri in Rajasthan, with 250 serving, 300 retired, 15 killed in action soldiers and 3 Prisoners of War, for a War memorial in the honour of the soldiers killed in action, from the village. Even after 100s of letters of appeal by the villagers & promises by all govts, nothing worked. Ambreen took up the cause, met the leaders of all political parties, people in power, authorities concerned and now the state govt of Rajasthan & local administration has taken cognisance of the issue and granted all clearances & permissions required to build a memorial there.
She is on a mission to help the families of our soldiers killed in action and disabled soldiers by helping them in which ever way she can. She often travels to the interior areas of the country, which sends a very high number of their men into the armed forces, to know about their well being. She has been invited at country’s best institutions like IIT Delhi, Govt Girl’s College, Chandigarh, to deliver a talk and create awareness amongst the youth about the Indian Armed Forces and their families.
